This page is the full pre-purchase disclosure for Chap Premium and one-off packs, offered by Elliott James Chapman (Individual / Sole Trader) trading as Chap.Club, ABN 57 434 518 597. It sits alongside the Terms of Service.
What it costs
- Monthly — A$24.99 AUD per month.
- Yearly — A$229.99 AUD per year.
Prices are in Australian dollars. Chap.Club is not currently registered for GST, so no GST is charged on purchases billed by us. Apple and Google convert and tax prices for your storefront, so the amount you are charged may differ.
Trial, renewal, cancellation and restoring purchases
- Premium renews automatically at the price and billing period you chose, until you cancel. Monthly plans renew monthly and yearly plans renew yearly, on the same calendar day where possible. We tell you before a price change affects a renewal.
- New accounts may be offered a 3-day free trial, once per account. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, it converts into a paid subscription automatically at the price above. Cancelling during the trial keeps your access until the trial period finishes.
- You can cancel at any time from the Plan page in the app. Cancelling stops the next charge; your Premium access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for and then expires, and no partial-period refund is given for time already used.
- Purchases made inside the iOS or Android app are billed by Apple or Google and must be cancelled in your Apple or Google account subscription settings — cancelling there is the only way to stop store billing.
- If you reinstall the app or sign in on a new device, use Restore purchases on the Plan page. It re-checks your subscription with the App Store or Google Play and restores the entitlement that store says you currently hold.
- Upgrades from monthly to yearly take effect immediately and are prorated by the payment provider. Downgrades from yearly to monthly take effect at the end of the period you have already paid for.
- If a payment fails, your Premium access continues for a short grace period while the payment is retried. If it still fails, the account returns to the free plan and any unused pack balances remain on the account.
One-off packs
Message, image-upload, image-creation and game packs are one-off consumable purchases, not subscriptions. They are used automatically when the matching daily allowance runs out, do not expire while your account is active, are not transferable, have no cash value and are lost if you delete your account.
What Premium actually gives you
Premium raises your daily allowances substantially and removes sponsor cards. It is not literally unlimited: a daily burst ceiling and a monthly fair-use level apply and are shown in the app with advance warnings. Daily limits reset in your account timezone; monthly fair use resets at the start of each UTC month. Both are enforced automatically to keep the service sustainable. Chap also selects a model per request, so some answers may be produced by a lighter model when a request is simple, a provider is unavailable or our cost safeguards are engaged.
Refunds
Web payments are processed by our payment provider, who acts as merchant of record and handles applicable taxes. Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are governed by that store's billing terms.
- Subscription periods already started are generally non-refundable, but we will consider a refund if you contact us within 48 hours of an unintended renewal.
- Consumable packs are refundable only if unused, or if a technical fault prevented them being delivered.
- Refunds for App Store or Google Play purchases must be requested from Apple or Google under their policies — we cannot refund a store purchase on their behalf.
- Nothing here limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or any other non-excludable consumer protections, including remedies where the service is not of acceptable quality.
- Refund and billing requests: billing@chap.club.
